Furthermore on the subject : Heritage quests now fall under the 50-quest maximum - Why? - Newly appointed community manager Blackguard responded ...

Blackguard wrote:Thanks for the feedback, everyone. After some discussion and investigation, we've decided to try out the following: We're increasing the maximum number of active quests you can have to 75 from 50. If this proves to hinder performance noticeably, it may be changed back, but we're listening.

Seems this very interresting Update is getting even more interresting if you ask me. 8)

On the whole idea of changing your bind point, but only within your predesignated hometown, I seriously doubt that anybody will care to use it, except for moving the bind point to either right in front of their house or right in front of the bell to zone away .5 ms faster than before.

With respect to the fact that some people like being zoned somewhere other than the zone they live in, I completely fail to see how making you able to zone to your zone of residence, or even directly into your appartment would impact the gameplay of those who choose not to.

It surely cannot be a technical issue. Previously they would know where to zone you - from your race / current illusion - and should have to add some info on your character-record to where you had chosen to zone. Such an addition could potentialy make load on servers and databases bigger, but as they obviously are gonna store location pointers on the record now, this concern is completely out the window.

I previously suggested on the public forums a system like this.

Call Of [Hometown] :
- Apprentice I -- Racial zone at docks. Full casting time
- Apprentice II -- Racial zone at docks. 10% reduced casting time
- Apprentice III -- Racial zone at docks. 15% reduced casting time
- Apprentice IV -- Racial zone at docks. 20% reduced casting time

- Adept I -- Choice of Racial/Home zone docks. 20% reduced casting time.
- Adept II -- Choice of Racial/Home zone docks. 30% reduced casting time.
- Adept III -- Choice of Appartment / Racial / Home Zone. 30% reduced casting time.

- Master I -- Choice of Appartment / Racial / Home Zone. 60% reduced casting time.

The entire bind point issue and the related quest (to be completed), could easily be wrapped around this.

actually it says the character's home town that could mean anywhere in Qeynos or Freeport... at least that is what i am getting for it. I'll try to ask blackgard for a little more detail.
