Yes I know it's been a while but we are all pretty much sucking face with our monitors playing the game more then some thought humanly possible!
We do have several news worthy things to post so here goes...

Early in the year a few of us headed over to Firemyst Gully to check out what all the goodie goodies have been raving about the zone and to our surprize the zone was pretty cool and we got some actual upgrade drops for a few people... Such as Dwarven Sword of Cleansing, Dwarven Warhammer of Cleansing, and Dwarven Dagger of Cleansing...
We also noticed a small difference in the wildlife in the zone... see if you can tell the difference:

A week or two ago we decided to make a trip back to Nektropos Castle... Now if you remember back in early december we tried to go there with our group average level at around 23... Yeah we got as far as the front door lol.
Anyway things this time were slightly more in our favor as we ended up spending a good 3 or so hours in there clearing the first floor several times. Now if this had been a different group of people with alot less patience they would have given up after clearing the floor twice but we pressed on trying to find out the little secrets this castle had to offer. And let me tell you there are so many surprizes in this zone it's unreal! I am talking about Stuffed wildlife heads on the wall you can interact with and remove eyeballs from (yeah ewww) A gameroom complete with Billiards table and dartboard... Hidden passages.. fake walls... and a Partridge in a pear tree!
Anyway we eventually figured out the way up to the second floor but we decided to end it there and save second floor for next time. Lord Everling here we come!
There were all sorts of different types of mobs in there from undead frogloks, Everling Servants, A Stable boy for all you Princess Bride fans out there... and even some of those cool lookin Gargs we have all grown to love... We had a blast and during the few AFK breaks we passed out the Petrified Orc eye and Raided the rest of the castle like some pack of blood thirsty brainless orcs... which wasn't too hard to pull off.
Itchy had some sort of obsession with the Manservants there but I won't go into that... just thought it would be worth mentioning

For those of you out there that want a hint on how to get to the second floor here ya go... we got this tastfull bit of info after killing a named mob in the chapel area of the castle:

We also took some time to check out the Goodie Goodie version of Fallen Gate called Stormhold... This zone is great however it has a nasty memory leak so if you are in tehr for more then about 2-3 hours your PC start crying and politely asks for a tampon in the form of dumping all your memory and locking up your system.
Despite the memory leak it is still a very cool zone with lots of cool loot and quests as well as being every gnome's haven for shinies! And we all know a certain gnome that loves shinies don't we... *innocent look*
One script that we found particularly interesting was the Maelstrom Sword Ring event. Down in the Church area past all the skelly clergy (just don't sound right does it...) There is a room with a Sword laying on an alter... We spoke with the sword oddly enough and it started spawning mobs all around us. After several waves of smaller mobs a huge elemental spawned who was level 32^^ He was a fun fight and had some decent loot although it escapes me what it was heh. He might not of been really that big but to a gnome most things are friggen HUGE :p
