Aw man ... You guys are seeing your bee population go extinct because of plague or something and you nuke the ones you have left? wtf?
Bee's are benefiting animals, vital for securing crop and plant survival. Wasp's on the other hand only serve nature as food for other animals. A bee farmer could have come and taken the queen (that was obviously) sitting on the swing, and secured the entire swarm somewhere else.
Don't get me wrong.. I love paint thinner gasoline explosions as much as the next guy, but ... poor bees.
We had a beehive living in one of our cellars in the old house, not honey bees though, the cute ones you could go in and out of the cellar no worries.
Also had honey bee hive in the ground in the garden, but I petrol bombed those cause there was a great big wasp bike as their next door neighbours, was suprised they tolerated each other, was less than a foot between the hive and bike, that one was the best underground fire I ever created, burnt for three days
